She says, “My character Mandakini is funny and grey. It’s a quiet combination. But what’s really amazing is my look on the show, when the shooting has to be put on hold, as everyone was busy appreciating my look (smiles).”
Adding further about the break she says, “After my last show ended abruptly owing to abysmal ratings, I went back to my hometown, Lucknow, in March 2021. It was a challenging time for me, as everyone in my family got COVID-19 and I lost seven of my close friends in 10 days. I was struggling emotionally and realised that the only thing that could keep me sane was acting.”
